Roadside PRIDE

Bullett Materials for PRIDE Coordinators
Bullett 2007 Roadside PRIDE Awards
Bullett Cities & Counties by Class

October is Roadside PRIDE Month! Since 2003, PRIDE has sponsored this friendly competition among the region's cities and counties to recruit volunteers and pick up trash along roadways.
Cities and counties compete within population-based classes. They earn points for the number of volunteers and volunteer hours worked; the bags of trash, tires and appliances collected; and road miles cleaned during October. Roadside PRIDE Awards will be presented to the top cities and counties in each class.

PRIDE provides cleanup supplies to cities and counties. PRIDE also reimburses local governments for disposing of the trash collected, up to $2,000 per county and $1,000 per city and eligible nonprofit organization, as explained in the Roadside PRIDE Guidelines (document will open in Flash Paper, click here for Adobe Acrobat).
