PRIDE Spring Cleanup, April 5-19

Volunteer to pick up litter around your community during the PRIDE Spring Cleanup. Cleanup events already scheduled in your area are listed below. To volunteer, call Lee County PRIDE Co-Coordinator Neeley Back at 859.806.3347. You also can call her if you want to clean an area that is not on this list.

  • 4/12/2008 — 9 am - 3 pm — County-wide cleanup
  • 4/18/2008 — 9 am - 7 pm — White goods drop off

PRIDE Environmental Education Grant Recipients in the County (2007 Grant Cycle)
Grant recipients might need help with their environmental education projects from community members. Contact the grant recipient to inquire about volunteer opportunities.
  • Beattyville Elementary School: $4,500 to enhance outdoor classroom
  • Southside Elementary: $4,500 to enhance outdoor classroom
  • Lee County Middle School: $4,000 to enhance outdoor classroom
  • Kentucky River Community Care, Inc: $4,500 to construct outdoor classroom
