Overview of All Grants

PRIDE operates grant programs for local governments, teachers, nonprofit organizations and individual homeowners who want to pursue the PRIDE goals in their communities.

The PRIDE grant programs are summarized below. Click on a program name to learn more.

Program

Description

PRIDE Community Grant Program

  • For environmental improvement projects
  • Worth up to $50,000, 10% match required
  • Available to counties, cities, other public entities and nonprofit organizations in PRIDE service area
  • Awarded annually

PRIDE SuperGrant Program

  • For removal of massive illegal dumps
  • Worth between $50,000 and $1 million, no match required
  • Available to counties, cities, other public entities and nonprofit organizations in PRIDE service area

PRIDE Environmental Education Grant
Program

  • For hands-on environmental education projects
  • Worth up to $5,000, 25% match required
  • Available to schools, nonformal educators, local governments, other public entities and nonprofit organizations in PRIDE service area
  • Awarded annually 

PRIDE Homeowner Septic System
Grant Program

  • For installation of a septic system or connection to a sewer line (if available)
  • Pays 100% of project cost, no match required
  • Available to qualifying low-income homeowners in the PRIDE service area
  • Awarded year-round

PRIDE Wastewater Construction Program

  • For extension of sewer collection lines from existing wastewater treatment plants
  • Worth 100% of project cost, no match required
  • Available to counties, cities and wastewater utilities in PRIDE service area
  • Awarded once annually

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Section 531 Program

  • For innovative, rural or nearly-funded wastewater treatment projects
  • Worth 75% of the project cost, recipient must provide remaining 25%
  • Available to counties, cities, wastewater utilities and nonprofit organizations in the 5th Congressional District
  • Awarded once annually
