PRIDE Club members in 4th-8th grades read environmental books to younger students. The mentors wore costumes and led activities that brought the books to life.

Science Hill celebrates sewer improvements
Students and citizens joined elected officials to celebrate as the City of Science Hill finished extending sewer lines to 42 residential and commercial customers and prepared to reach 10 more homes.
Eastern Kentucky PRIDE is a nonprofit organization funded by federal grants to encourage and assist citizens, local governments, schools and others in 38 counties of southern and eastern Kentucky to:
1. Improve water quality in the region.
2. Clean up illegal trash dumps and other solid waste problems.
3. Promote environmental awareness and education.
