2006 Spring Cleanup Activities:

Volunteers are needed for the following cleanup events. These plans are subject to change, especially due to inclement weather. Trash bags, safety vests and gloves will be provided. While supplies last, volunteers will receive free T-shirts. To volunteer for an event, or to plan a cleanup activity for a different location or date, please call Andrew Parmley at 606.348.8522.

March — 10 am-6 pm — Roadside Cleanup at Hwy. 2002 & Hwy. 2003
March — 10 am-6 pm — Roadside Cleanup at Various Co. Roads
March — 10 am-2 pm — Roadside Cleanup at Various Co. Roads
March — 8 am-4 pm — Roadside Cleanup at Hwy. 90/1275
March — Time TBD — Roadside Cleanup at City Streets
March — Time TBD — Roadside Cleanup at Various Co. Roads

Schools will show their PRIDE during the following Spring Cleanup activities. Volunteers are not needed for these events. For more information, please contact PRIDE at 888.577.4339. (Due to spring break and testing schedules, schools may plan activities outside the April 8-22 Spring Cleanup period.)

April — 8 am-2 pm — Campus Cleanup at Walker Elementary
March — 8 am-2 pm — Campus Cleanup at Monticello Independent

Contact your Solid Waste Coordinator to request a list of licensed garbage haulers in your county or to report illegal dumping.

For information about becoming a Watershed Watch volunteer, call 1-800-928-0045 and ask for extension 473, or visit the program’s Web site at www.kywater.org/watch.
