Are you interested in learning how to restore wetlands that improve fish and wildlife habitat, clean runoff, and reduce flooding? Then you’re invited to apply to participate in the third annual Eastern Regional Wetland Restoration Institute Sept. 7-12 at Olympia Springs on the Daniel Boone National Forest.
Several agencies and organizations sponsor the institute. Eastern Kentucky PRIDE is pleased to be a founding partner in the important event.
During the week-long institute, a team of experts will provide hands-on instruction to people who want to build wetlands in their communities, such as employees of government agencies, nonprofit organizations and consulting companies.
To maintain a low instructor-to-student ratio, the class size will be limited. Participants will be selected from applications submitted by April 24, 2008.
